VIDEO PANEL

Inside the Safer Spaces Panel.

PHASE 1 of the Safer Spaces Project began in 2021 with the generous assistance of the Ontario Arts Council, Industry, Hamilton Fringe and GOODBODYFEEL. Consultant and relational psychotherapist Robin Lacambra led a team of research assistants, professional consultants, and an 8-person intersectional steering committee toward creating a set of care-centred guiding principles that will inform and govern a potential arts hub for Hamilton. This panel discusses why creating a robust framework for safer and braver spaces is important. The team shares personal stories and professional experiences that have brought us together to envision a tangible future of a space that celebrates diversity and centres a culture of belonging.
