Liberation through embodiment, through a connection to ourselves and our kin, in safe spaces built by us for us – this is how we imagine our programming and our relationships. SACHA Diverse Communities Outreach Program is so pleased to collaborate with GoodBodyFeel to bring you Liberated Moves for Two Spirit, Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous, People of Colour who survive the violence of racism, patriarchy and transphobia.

We partnered with GoodBodyFeel because we know that this space is accessible, kind and compassionate. We know that relationships are developed that embody safety, community and reclamation and through that we hope to create ongoing programming that centres 2SQTBIPOC experiences and healing spaces. SACHA envisions a world without oppression. We believe that the building blocks for this world are created by us for us.

The Diverse Communities Outreach Program offers supportive programming for survivors of sexual violence from Hamilton’s diverse racial and cultural communities, in particular women who are Black, Indigenous, Queer, Trans, People of Colour.

Liberated Moves is a free class exclusively for BIPOC to feel and heal together.  Each class will be led by a Black yoga instructor, some of whom have been featured on Yoga Teachers of Color. Liberated Moves happens weekly on Sundays from 9:30-10:30am EST and you can register here.

As Black, Indigenous, People of Colour, we don’t have to provide statistics to know that Two Spirit, Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous, People of Colour face increased rates of violence. We barely survive the intersections of our identities yet when we do, we embody the power of ancestral connections rooted deep in our relationships with ourselves, each other and the land. We rise. We shine with each other for each other. All of these rallying cries have driven us towards this space for healing, feeling and reclaiming.
