STAMINA THROUGH CHAOS

In November, we travelled to the depths of our subconscious to find our inner child with messages. Communicating to us through symbols, images and patterns, what did you let go of, finally? What gems do you carry with you, your keepsakes? Anything out of the ordinary within ourselves was asking to be acknowledged and embraced. It will be the medicine we need to encounter this month.

It is a time to get in touch with your personal philosophy about life. What Mystery or unexplained feeling can you hold with you to give you the charge to carry you through the day? What are you saying to yourself on a daily basis to keep going along your journey with courage and openness? Are there any things that you say to yourself that undermine your true ability to persevere when things become intense or uncomfortable? Ten of wands leads us to the fire that burns those beliefs right up and show us our true selves and how we treat ourselves. It nudges to carry on towards our desire for adventure no matter what that looks like.

Sagittarius season will be high pressure as we are forced to examine our beliefs concerning the holidays. This time can make people generally feel they are not doing enough because of the hustle and bustle of Christmas and the hustle and bustle of buying gifts. But what is true giving all about? Where can you turn on your fire to meet others in celebration? What are your spiritual and/or creative gifts? What can we give to others that do not deplete our pockets significantly but inspire human connection? What are you willing to give up to serve others? Can you spot your responsibilities from a place of knowing your limits so that this can be a time of spending cherished moments with those you love? Can it be a time of warm dynamic socializing and getting to know other humans? Rather than a time of self-martyrdom growing into resentment towards others by doing way too much?

We move into the sign of Capricorn on December 22.  Known for its reserved calm and work ethic. We can think of all the things that we have worked on this past year and what we are working out or working towards in the New Year. We can think of the family legacies that were instilled in us and stays, and what needs to be re-examined.

Five of wands paired with holiday time indicate things competing for our attention and creative input. Use this astrological season to redefine your relationship to discipline and routine. Think of what you value the most and why it is important to you. Create a loose plan and be willing to adjust and commit.

Capricorn is known for ‘hard’ work; generally known in our society ‘hard work’ is at the expense of rest, solitude, a social life, etc. I don’t believe in that. I don’t believe that this is a way to be a human. I say this as black queerdo living in a white cis male favouring system. I say that as someone doing it, by no means in perfection but on-going willingness.

I would like to invite you to think about work in terms of long term commitment, soft determination and focus and curating your life to things you hold dear. Yes there may be some long hours but if you are reading this it may mean there are moments that you can  integrate rest too. How does one create a routine that respects and supports the needs of the body? This is for you to reflect on coming from a place of gentleness. Even if you are not sure what that means it does help to be open to the concept.

Know that everything that I say here are suggestions only. If there are other ways for you to deal with the holidays and end of year that provide a net for your well-being feel free to do so. I love sharing with you all, I will see you next timeline.
